<!-- The name of your idea --> (Discussion)
I am talking about a class that use gun,machinery and more,what do you think
<!-- Please only include related ideas on a page. Please use "Show preview" before you submit to check how it looks. -->
<!-- You can delete all of the help text and tags. -->

; Why this is a good idea
* &nbsp;<!-- Outline reasons why people who play Guild Wars would like this idea to be included --> Since GW2 will be somewhat more into the future (not much but still), they could say that dwarves used the exploding kegs as ideas for new weapons and TA DA, the musket or something else like it, well hey listen to this, they could add a small twist to GW2 and have primitive guns (they did something similar in Monster Hunter Freedom 1 and 2, where they used Gun Lances) so the idea of a gun being used like a bow doesn't seem like a bad idea.
* &nbsp; maybe surround damage? like a shotgun ya know, different skills would be like, Two for One: target foe is struck and all adjectent foes are also damaged
* &nbsp; This is a good idea, but the guns should be somewhat weak with armor piercing capabilities and a low firing rate. This will help even out the unnatural strength a gun normally has.
* &nbsp; To answer to all "no-guns/no-engineer" freaks down below, this seems like an awesome idea for Asuras... Ok, maybe shotguns and rifles would not fit in Guild Wars, but I'm sure we can make up Asuran technology guns ! I really don't see an Asura shooting from a bow. Whereas a Golem can certainly have canon arms...

; Why it may not work out
* &nbsp;<!-- Outline reasons why this might not work for Guild Wars. --> Umm guns? in Guild Wars? Never! all that work spent on inventing new weaponry for foes (seige devourers) would be wasted if they just said, screw it lets make guns, engineer maybe, e.g trebuchets etc, guns... no
* &nbsp;an unreasonable advantage over non firepower weapons.
* &nbsp; Why would I bother making guns, when I can shoot out a fireball from my fist.
* &nbsp; Maybe a cool Techie-Class, but not guns. No. Nuh-uh.
* &nbsp; Guildwars....guns dude just no ok
* &nbsp; im sure i dont speak for myself when i say if guns were in guildwars i wouldnt play it anymore
* Amen brother. To all you shooter geeks; STOP SUGGESTING GUNS SHOULD BE IN GUILD WARS!! The same goes for this 'Engineering class' you suggested. WTF kinda idea is that?!?

gambler profession  (Discussion)
the gambler profession i think it should uses mostly luck skills throw dice at enemys and most of all earn you wads of cash for example a skill "gamble roll a 6 sided die costs 100 gold to use if you roll a 1-2 you lose 100 gold if you roll a 3-4 you gain 100 gold if you roll a 5-6 gain 200 gold(this skill can only be used in a town or outpost)" now i know most people will say "that's cheating it's like a fest whenever you log on with it" so that's when i got the idea you can only make this profession during a fest and it would cost around 5-10k to make it please comment on doubts or suggestions thank you

; Why this is a good idea
* &nbsp; well i think it would be a good idea and a very new one many people would be excited about it i know i would. imagine having the ability to earn 100g(or more/less)with a skill or to lose some. and to give a new idea to guild wars thanks for hearing me out.
* &nbsp; It might not work out as told here, but it could be improved to make a profession based on luck. When using a skill, you never know if you're dealing 5 damage or 500, you don't know if you deal 50 damage to your opponent or to you, or you don't know if you're affecting them with a bleeding or a slow... That would make 3 skills already ! You have to take out the "money" part, though. That would only unbalance the game's economy.

;Why it may not work out
* &nbsp;some people may go overboard with this people this is just an idea and guild wars is a great game already so if this gets in the game(which i doubt will happen)there is more stuff to focus on, thanks again for reading XD ps: please remember to post suggestions ^^
* &nbsp;Sounds more like a festival event; is there any reason to make a complete class for this?
* &nbsp; A gambler would have no combat abilities whatso ever, except maybe 'Throw Dice!', which would be pointless in it self. What would it do? "Screws up opposing player for 5 seconds, making them unable to get a blackjack?". :P well i suppose you're right but the whole point of it would be to make money though bring that..that...that "differrent" essence to guild wars thx for commenting be sure to keep talking!
* It's a really retarded idea, only suitable for the gambling losers under us.
* It could be a fun festival related mini game or event, but that's about it.
Sagothii (Discussion)
Lore
The world in chaos, fear, and hopelessness. Gaining a victory only to find an even harsher challenge awaiting. The flight of the newest threat, the dragons, forced the sentient races to return to the depths once again. Many still remained on the surface, unprotected and exposed. Coincidence was however, favoring the sentients, even for a brief moment.

Asura found them selfs hiding with Sylvari, Humans with Charr, Norn dishonored being forced beneath the surface with those who had their honor recently stripped away. Soon the ground shook and gave way, to what seemed to be a mine so old, even the dwarfs wouldn't have known about it. Not in legend, not in history, never in memory was the vast chamber now enclosing them.

They had no choice but to find a way to the surface, however their endeavors forced the recognization of something magnificent. Their wounds healed within ours, they were revitalized and exhilarated. Such power in such a place, whatever was mining this before, surely had the right idea. They left the place, news of the mine traveled quickly across the five races, each wanting to harness it for their own means. It was a loose relationship at best, old enemies working together, a simple accident could end in a bloodbath. However it was soon achieved by an Asura scientist named Sago, and a Sylvari calling herself Gothi. Focused the crystals in a hand held device able to create a discharge or three or four bolts of the newly dubbed Sagothi energy.

The amazing abilities of a healing crystal able to destroy organic material, but useless against minerals. The result was unexplained, simply killing the tissue, no burns, no cuts, no penetration. It could only go skin deep, but caused great pain to those struck. The device couldn't be aimed well at a distance either, leaving this to be a mid-ranged device. New discovery was formed later by the Charr and the Norn, the device was partially damaged when the Norn Jerith dropped it, and a nearby Charr to a small discharge to a limp leg. It was never not powerful enough to work properly, simply too powerful for it to heal.

The discovery created the order of the Sagothii, vowing to keep balance in the world, with a subtle grace that many lacked. Each race had a new weapon to defend and fight for what they believed in. The power of the Sagothi.

Overview
The Sagothii are midrange fighters, creating a powerful core to invigorate their team or strike at their enemies from a safe vantage point. They prefer medium armor, much like that of a ranger, assassin, or a dervish. They wield the Sagothi device with both hands due to its bulkiness. The profession has had nearly 100 years to evolve, allowing many different forms of the device. Even then, it is seen more as a science, then a magic or religious profession.

Attributes
Invigorating Science: Skills with the ability to increase the effectiveness of a team in battle dealing damage.

Resistance Science: Group skills to shield the team from many different forms of damage.

Reconstruction Science: Minor group heals.

Destruction Science: Midranged attacks dealing minor damage to a small group of foes.

Sagothi Mastery: For every 4 points in Sagothi Mastery, your Sagothi Device deals 1 additional damage. This is used mainly to counter other Sagothi, if the divices have gotten in the wrong hands.

; Why this is a good idea
* First mid-ranged based profession
* It's unique since it doesn't draw power from any of the five gods.
* Widens your healer variety to more then just monks.
* <BIG>SCIENCE!</BIG>

;Why it may not work out
* People think there is enough healing
* The odds of this actually getting implemented
* That long story might make people turn away :(
* Why invest in an attribute for weak healing or damage when you can invest in a secondary profession's attribute for better healing or damage?
* Sagothi Mastery's inherent effect seems extremely weak.
* The lore implies that the Sagothy Device would be useless against inorganic monsters such as golems and elementals.
* Name isn't descriptive.
*It's idiotic, stupid, and involves putting lazer guns in Guild Wars. Is this supposed to be constructive ?
