Well it is based on getting at the endgame about 60 skills, but you only have 6 on screen at a time, they swtich from row 1-6, and it allows for fast-paced twitched combat as you cant sit there waiting for you next move. It has a Targeting Retitcle in a Fantasy MMO, and you can dodge both spells, and projectiles in real time. I think there should be 18 skills with their Variations, only 6 present, but you can switch to any of your rows at any time(unless DP or some other Morale system penalty lcoked some tiers), Spellborn uses an Assain Combo-like system too, I do not find that exactly nessacary, because players could create their own ideas on what abiities should be used first, maybe one elite skill per tier. And maybe tiers could fuse skills from different tiers. I was thinking these controls. WASD movement, z zaxis, Left arrow (up a tier), Right arrow(down a tier), up/down arrow(same self-explanatory), numbers 1-6 skills accrodingly, Also in Spellborn elite skills are more powerful but there is a penalty if they fail. i kinda of like that. They dont have an energy system, but rather 3 stats that are buffed and debuffed in combat. Your health, physique, and i guess magic/energy which affect the strength of your skills. I like the Skilldeck and I think GW2 would get the system they were looking for from it. Combined with the Targeting Retitcle.
*

Well Its very Innovative and People may not be used to it...

If done inccorrectly could feel sloppy, or choppy, or feel too much like an FPS

Not enough time is spent on the the system( medicorce is the current standard for MMOs.) GW doesnt follow that standard. Keep it that way. Adapt and Evolve.
* I belive the current GW skills system is the best system there is 4 this game ^^ cap should b risen 2 10 though =P (but that's a different suggestion ^^)
Guild Prerequisites (Discussion)
Maybe this has been suggested previously in some form of another. I don't know. Or maybe it's under consideration already, but I have no way of knowing that.

My suggestion here would be to implement some kind of price or requirement for creating a new Guild. In GW1, there was next to no limits on doing this, besides the small prices involved, and that resulted in A LOT of "average joe" Guilds milling around.

;Possible requirement types:
* A simple cost in gold to form the Guild
* A Guild Charter which must be signed by a minimum number of potential members before the Guild can be made
* A particular status or item obtained by the character making the Guild

;Why this is a good idea
* It would reduce the number of "average" Guilds, mostly leaving higher quality/more active ones, which would make recruitment far easier (and more fun)
* It would possibly reduce the chances of a Guild failing as it should be off to a relatively good start using one or more of the requirements listed above
* Reduce the amount of people with capes of different guilds. So less chaotic for players in towns and outposts.

;Why it may not work out
* Difficult to obtain, particularly for lowbies/newcomers, which might not make it too popular a system
* It has little difference between the current system in GW1
* Gets the fun out of just making a small "average joe" friend guild, just 4 u n ur friends. (making only the most serious guilds able 2 b created is ELITISM, which is a reason many other ideas r rejected.) I don't say we shouldn't make the price higher, but not make it too hard like all the comments here want, "average joe" guilds need 2 exist, just 4 making new friends, or communicating with friends in a better way.
* cause it's not like "average" guild r bad =P think bout it, I personally had a guild in GW1 that I created so every1 that just wants a guild could join it, n ppl did, n some of them did it, n told me they did it cause they r SICK of ELITE guilds that have some "guild events" like trying 2 GvG, n after that become anti-social... guilds r supposed 2 b FUN not 2 promote elitism...

Remember games like Oblivion and Morrowind, where classes had their own professional guild (league/society)? If you don't, it would be similar to say, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants or CICA (the only difference is that CICA membership is mandatory for CA's to practice in Canada). I am suggesting that there could be professional associations or leagues for our character classes.

I think it would be spectacular for warriors, casters, etc. to have professional associations for the purposes of higher learning and, I dunno, encourage "enthusiasm" for your profession. Side-quests can be available, with rank title tracks, which could provide miscellaneous benefits for members. Perhaps something like a challenge solo quest would be required in order to obtain membership or advance through the ranks. Even adding unique quests based on a secondary profession might be cool (or just having limited membership in a chosen secondary profession's league). After all, this is GUILD WARS, and this is pretty much what guilds do. In fact, guilds in real life are precisely what I am suggesting: professional associations, and not so much fraternities/sororities or competitive clans like they are in this game.

Note however I am not proposing we replace our current system of guilds, merely add a new one. I suppose all this would entail are major NPCs stationed at respective headquarters for each profession's league, and a title track or tag added to your playable character. I know it would be too much for Anet to add areas to each major city (or even your own GH) corresponding to the leagues -- and it would be way too much for them to include an entire zone (outpost) corresponding to a league's HQ -- but maybe an instanced zone like the Hall of Monuments would suffice.

; Why this is a good idea
* Camaraderie between players of like profession
* Bragging rights between players of like profession (and it would show other classes how good you are at your own)
* The leagues could offer profession-specific challenges, and even basic training
* Possibilities for unique items, titles, companion maybe, as rewards for members
* Don't complicate it with too many over options, it's a good way 2 know new people that can help you, give you some good advises when you need em, n mayb give you good builds. Plus, the guild system is still necessary, 4 the same reasons it's necessary 2day.

;Why it may not work out
* Elitism will occur.
* Logistic difficulties to overcome in implementation of the idea.
* As there is no "real" incentive (yet), this would make the Guild system unnecessarily complex. Relatively.
Easy skill purchase
All of a character's skills should be buyable as quickly as possible, without having to build up lots of money or travel to far away outposts. The point of the suggestion is to keep grind low, so that people do not have to level up a lot, spend a lot of time getting money, or spend a lot of time playing in some other way in order to get skills.

; Why this is a good idea

* Would help people be able to get around learning curve quicker
* Helps keep grind low for skill acquisition

; Why it may not work out

* May negatively affect player skill
* People only need to buy 7 skills and a capture signet to get a fair build, which is cheap. If players can get all skills for free basically, you might as well give em from the start. Just removes a challenge I think.
* it will not be an RPG game anymore. It is like you will learn in the first grade every school subject and than go to university. What for? It will not mean anything than, because you already know everything
* playing the game and getting to a place you can buy all the skills @ is not grinding, it's playing XD
Fix Gold Selling issues(Discussion)
Here are a few suggestions to help fix Gold Selling/Buying:

* Disallow trade for a week after character creation.
* Also, make it so when you drop itmes in explorable areas, no one can pick it up but the person who droped it, so drop trading wont occur.

; Why this is a good idea
* It is the most probable way to end gold trading crap
* This can hurt Gold Sellers and help bring stability to the economy

;Why it may not work out
* It'd be extremely annoying to everyone other than gold sellers.
* You'll lose a load of the community due to being pathetic, exactly as Jagex did with their piece of crap RS.
* It's not clear why either of the measures would impact gold selling. The first suggestion just requires gold sellers/buyers to wait a week. The second wouldn't stop bots from farming.
* why not just ban gold sellers? seriously, what if 1 of my friends wants 2 give me some money 4 my new char? is that a crime?

Idea (Discussion)
Usually when I play Guild Wars I get into it a little, though I don't put on my wizard hat as I play, I do like to zone out a little. Since Guild Wars was first released, the maturity level of players has drop significantly, and I find it quite annoying that when I finish an epic quest, like battling some forty foot tall demon, and I arrive in town and all I see is: "I will pwn you so hard" and then another player responding: "you’re such a noob," then they have a furious contest to see who can incorporate the word "noob" into the most barely coherent, unpunctuated sentences as fast as they possibly can, using caps lock like it will actually make their argument more intelligent or convincing. There are also the people who can't stop talking about sex for one minute, and also there are kids who are obviously too young to be playing who can't make a single understandable statement. It’s these kinds of people that make me forget about my recent triumph over said forty foot tall demon and drag me back into reality, reminding me of how immature the people who play this game are now.
Now I am not suggesting that you remove these people from the game, I would like to merely suggest that there be a chat filter option for people like me, in which it would automatically ignore people that begin spamming in chat. Another solution to this problem would be to make some servers or districts in Guild Wars 2 have a much more sensitive spam filter and allow much fewer words per message, which would discourage the immature players from joining and allow players an easier time asking for help without hearing “stfu nub,” and actually getting an intelligent answer.

; Why this is a good idea
* Asking for help would be much easier
* Would create a friendly environment for new players
* Can create a better playing environment, though can not b useless if you can report people for abusing the chat with immature messages. (sounds weird, but can work)

;Why it may not work out
* Mature servers might be seldom used
* Large discrimination
* Amount of server power needed

New Minimap circle: Enemy detect (Discussion)
The title doesn't explain much, but what this means is a new ring around the character on the minimap, similar to the aggro-ring. What this new ring would do is set the distance to how far you can see an enemy's red dot on the minimap. An enemy dot would show on the minimap when it enters the new circle. The circle would'nt affect the actual view distance on the screen, so players can still see the enemies even if they are not on the minimap. GW1 had no ambush tactic in the game due to the all showing minimap. Because of this, players would spend more of their time looking at the minmap than at the actual game world in front of them. This may open up new skills that exploit this feature such as group buffs to increase the viewing distance.

; Why this is a good idea
* Ambush tactic might be introduced into PvP.
* Influences more actual 'looking' at the game screen than the minimap.
* A teeny bit of realism.

;Why it may not work out
* May be exploited too much, causing it to be nerfed or just removed entirely.
* People would turn down this idea because they want to keep the unrealistic minimap that shows all of their enemies on the screen.
* well... for the same reason GW isn't FPS ^^
On the mini-map, enemies should have the "view cone" shown so players can hide from the enemies sight and just surprise attack them or just being able to avoid them in a more realistic way.

; Why this is a good idea
* can introduce a new type of challenge (stealth), new title skills (hide, blind enemy) and some new titles (invisible, ambushers, etc)
* low level characters can get through dangerous arias alone without the help of "runners" but using stealth and being patient.
* a new meaning to solo play (because if you attempt to get through an aria using stealth you will need to "flag" your heroes or just go without them)

Titled or Icons of weapons/armor upgrades (Discussion)
When you view a weapon or armor that has been upgraded, there is no title as to "handle, tang, grip, wrapping, insignia, rune," etc. which leads the player to testing trial and error to making/improving new buffed armor or altered weapons.
Icons of the actual upgrade/magic item, etc. on that particular item would be a great help! and make identification at a glance much much simpler for the players.

; Why this is a good idea
* No more taking a horrible risk trying to salvage an upgrade from one item, or wasting time applying/searching for upgrade (A) when you actually needed (B) hilt/tang - handle wrapping/staff end, as examples. No real extra work as the images icons of these upgrades already exist.
* Being able to see what upgrades your items & armor has at a glance would be a great help to both the seasoned and novice players.

;Why it may not work out
* Just READ carefully, the insignia is the prefix, the rune is the suffix! (e.g. Survivor Sunspear Leggings of Major Vigor) same goes 4 weapon upgrqades, their names show what they r (e.g. Icy Dagger Tang)
*
Validate armor pieces (Discussion)
Wouldn't it be great if you can have armor pieces drop from chests, foes, or even quest rewards? This has been suggested before, but what if there is no standard look for that armor. Armor pieces could have 1 or more inherent mod(s) on it which is (are) not salvageable. The looks of that armor could be determined by validating your armor by a certain armor crafting NPC. For example, you find a piece of armor in the Southern Shiverpeaks and it has an inherent mod you like. You could validate it in Droknar's Forge and it would look like drakescale, or you could hold on to it until you reach Marhan's Grotto and validate your armor there, then it will look like elite drakescale armor. Different NPC could ask for different validation materials/money to validate the armor and the looks you want to have.

; Why this is a good idea
* Everyone can get their beloved armor as long as they fulfill the armor validations requirements from the npc

;Why it may not work out
* Huge lot of new armor sets?
* Some1 said something bout questing 2 make ur armor elite... HIS IDEA IS MUCH BETTER! armor dropping from chests? gimme a break...

147.236.238.29: /* Multiple colorable areas when dying items (Discussion) */

Multiple colorable areas when dying items (Discussion)
As we know, GW1 has either dyable or non-dyable items. Some armors and their elite versions for example mainly differ in minor purfled structures and their colorable areas. (For example necromancer Fanatic and Cultist armor.)

Suggestion: Give items in GW2 multiple colorable areas. Many armors in GW1 have black areas that cannot be dyed for example. These could also be made colorable with an additional option that allows to choose which parts to dye in the color preview. (e.g. regarding the cultist armor, one could either choose to dye the "regular" regions, the black metal parts, or the clasps)

; Why this is a good idea
*Better personal adjustment to prefered appearance.
*More variety in (character) appearance.

;Why it may not work out
* Buying different dyes for each area in your armor? I don't think it's so affordable...
