===Transylvania ([[ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Transylvania|Discussion]])===

By and large, GW lacks scares. Ravenheart Gloom is about the closest it comes.

Why not have dungeons, or a region, that's the equivalent of D&D's Ravenloft? -- a horror-themed area, where the emphasis is on moody role-playing and thrills, or on the more Halloweenish or cartoonish side of the horror genre.

; Why this is a good idea
* Many many horror and thriller afficionados out there.
* From a design perspective, there's a wealth of material to draw upon.

;Why it may not work out
* Done to death in every other game.
* Possible mature content issues.
===Make faction points meaningful ([[ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Make faction points meaningful|Discussion]])===

There's not much point to faction. You get to buy lockpicks for 1200, and you get the prestige of owning a town, but everyone knows the grind isn't worth it.

What if the faction points could be spent or used?

Eg 1 faction = 1 gold.

Or: the guild leader can purchase something that affects the guild as a whole -- like an addition to the hall, a festive item or fireworks, or something that affects PvE play ("all guild members temporarily have +1 health"), or something cosmetic ("all guild members temporarily have shark heads").

; Why this is a good idea
* Would build guild solidarity.
* Adds more meaning to guilds.
* Adds more interest and complexity to game.

;Why it may not work out
* If the faction points can be spent on items that affect PvE functionality, or that can be sold, there would be balance and economy issues.
'''Viewing Allies Roster'''

Currently one can only view the online roster of its own guild members.

'''My Suggestion:'''

Adding a "Roster" button next to or below the allie guild name in the "Alliance" tab allowing you to view who is online in that allie guild also allowing you to send a private message.

'''Why this is a good idea:'''

* This would free up your friends list slots for people you meet in game and wish to keep in contact with and see if they are online. Currently if you wish to see if a member from one of your allie guilds is online you must place them on your friends list which cuts into the limited amount of people you can add to the list.

* From an alliance-organization point of view, it would be very useful to be able to see how active a guild is, what time of day most people are playing, how many people are online in the aliance right now.

* If a member from another guild is misbehaving, an alliance roster would let you check if there is an officer from that guild online whom you can PM.

* One purpose that the guild roster serves, that an alliance roster would also serve, is actually keeping track of who's who when they change their character names. At the moment, when I play with someone from my alliance, I often don't know if I've played with them before under a different name.

'''Why it may not work out:'''

I see no reason for this not to work. When a guild leaves an alliance or is booted from an alliance their roster also goes.
===Setting offline/away/do not disturb status from login page===

I often set my status to offline as soon as I log on, and I know that plenty of people do it (Gaile does it, for instance). You just want some quiet time, you're getting too many messages, etc.

It would be wonderful if you could set your status from the character selection page, and not have to wait till you're in-game.

; Why this is a good idea
* Basically, cuts out some hassle for people with overly social guild wars lives. The way things currently work, people briefly see that you're online and send you messages, or if they're in your guild they can see when the last time you were online was.

;Why it may not work out
* Programming difficulties?
