<!-- The name of your idea --> (Discussion)
Hi,
I was just on the Halloween event when an idea came to my mind. Everyone has huge amount of minipets, but they are just to collect and show. It could be a great concept to give them another feature - possibility of combat!

; Why this is a good idea
* It would make minipets useful, not just beautiful :D
* It would vary the game in the minigame matter
* Another title?
* New kind of PvP :P
* Pet Polymock (or whatever it gets called) would be pretty fun

;Why it may not work out
* Some miniatures would probably be totally not valuable
* It would change a bit an idea of minipets...
Weapon Sub Classes
My idea is that instead of adding a huge amount of new weapons, you could divide some existing weapons into groups. Right now the only difference between two swords is their damage type and their skin. Same goes for all other weapons assuming they are all max and not modded. What I was thinking is that you could divide each weapon type into sections like for swords they could be divided into short swords, long swords and great swords with short swords being fast attacking but low damaging, long swords being the middle and great swords being high damage and low attack speed with maybe something like inherent armor penetration (similar to the difference between a hornbow and a shortbow). Because it's only bows that have seperate weapon groups, you could add a whole lot more weapon customization, without really adding that many new weapons. They already have lesser average and greater skins for weapons in EotN, why not make them behave differently?

; Why this is a good idea
* Adds a new level of strategy
* New customization issues
* should be easy to balance (they already did it for bows)

;Why it may not work out
* Some weapon types could be overpowered (a scythe that hits 25% faster for -5 damage)
*

Silverwing's Roost (Discussion)
Since Talon Silverwing was such a cool henchmen in Factions, I think there should be a little Tengu hamlet to honor his memory. Maybe meet his great great great grand-son? Hawkeye Silverwing or something. And he should be a hirable companion, with a voiceset and dialogue and everything.

; Why this is a good idea
* Tengu are cool.
* Memorials to GW1 would be nice.

;Why it may not work out
* The cost of parchment would go up.(huh?)
* Siege wurms would become underpowered.(huh?)
A living World (Discussion
I think Anet should program the NPC (villagers,guards,etc.) in outposts and towns to kind of have a life of they're own. For example they would go to the merchants to buy new items or they sit down somewhere and speak to eachother. Guards should tell NPC children not to run by here or not to enter a private area. NPC's that have a quest for the players should ask for help and do some emotes,if no one is coming they sigh or if someone takes the quest they cheer. This would help the game felling alive, would help playing get involved within the game and would give the game more depth.

; Why this is a good idea
* It would really give players the feeling that the world around them is alive and they would feel like a part of that fantasy.
* Oblivion managed to do it in the end after some problems.
* Overhearing a rumor from NPC's talking amongst themselves and then talking to them about it is a natural progression.
* I agree this would be cool and make u feel like you're in a real world
* This could make the world feel more like it is independent, rather than the obviousness of being pre-programmed.
* Would be cool to walk by some kids and see them playing rock, paper, scissors.

;Why it may not work out
* Might take some time to do the programing.
* Would need program limitations Oblivion tried a no limitation version in development but it ended up total chaos with guards steeling food and fighting each other.
* Might be too chaotic if there are too many NPC's walking around and talking to each other.
* Can expect a big toll on the system, thus more lag, bigger servers, more costs, etc.

Make Quests Fun (Discussion)
If you make quests fast, your character gets stronger faster, and faster, the funner it is. And we play games to have fun.

All the quests should have two modes;

The normal one - this is the fastly made. Let's say, there is an area with 20 wolves. You'd have to kill 8 of those and get their skin for one merchant, who promised to make you a new vest from those wolf skins you gather. It gives you normal exprience point and money reward, enough for you to play the game as it's meant to be played.

The elite one - this is the quest which takes a little bit more time. It's the very same quest which can be done quickly in normal mode, but if you have time and will, you could also collect 15 wolf fangs. Killing more wolves means more experience, loot and money. But it takes more time. The quest reward would be the same, but the vest you get from it, would be enhanced with those wolf fangs, giving you a cooler looking vest with damage reflection (someone hits you in melee, those wolf fangs reflect some damage).

Names can be changed, those are just to tell that normal is fast with good reward, which is fun and elite is more time-taking and harder quest where you might need friends, but it also rewards you better, not too great, but better. Killing those wolves more already means exprience points, loot and money. And the quest rewarding item (just an example) would be a little bit better.

You need to make every quest balanced, whether to invest time for better reward or to make the quest fast-paced, moving to the next quest quickly aswell. Basically, you can't compare which one is more rewarding. Normal quests reward you faster, and in theory you get levels more faster, but elite quests give you better reward, making you stronger but moves your level a bit lower.

; Why this is a good idea
* With the new open world, there would be lesser wait times for mobs to spawn.
* It helps players that might have little time, like having to leave to work soon, but they would like to make one quest fast.
* It makes players in the same level or area little more unique; not everyone has the same good sword from that same quests, since there would be two different kinds of that sword.
* It's something that I've never seen in other games. It sounds new, exciting and mostly - fun! ;)

;Why it may not work out
* It takes time to polish all the quests to be in balance.
* Questing with friends would be "harder" since you might not want that better reward but your friend needs it.
* Since it's new, it might be a bit confusing for new players at start.
* Makes it a bit more like wow and grind quests with kill 25 frost spiders for 25 gold example.
* Only benefits players who don't play much, And has a negative effect for players who do.

Template Weapons
Basically allows you to take specific materials to a weaponsmith and make numerous skins for swords or axes or whatever. You could have collectible blueprints from quests or boss drops that would give you access to new skins, or each smith could have a set number of skins for each weapon. Instead of adding weapon mods to your weapon after you make it, you could take it to the weaponsmith and he would put them into your new weapon for you, so instead of buying a max damage no mods spear, you could buy a max damage Icy Spear of Enchanting or whatever you like. You still wouldn't be able to make say a tormented shield form a smith in the starting town though.

; Why this is a good idea
* There wouldn't be as much farming for weapon skins.
* Easier to get good weapons
*Weapon is a little more personalized.

;Why it may not work out
* Lowers the value on popular skins (if they are makeable at a smith)
