View source for Beast Mastery

Beast Mastery is a secondary attribute of rangers.
{{Quotation|game|
Beast Mastery increases the damage dealt by your animal companion and its chance to inflict a critical hit. Many Ranger skills, especially those related to making your animal companion stronger, become more effective with higher Beast Mastery.

Inherent effects
Beast Mastery has three inherent effects:
* Each rank of Beast Mastery increases the pet's chance to land a critical hit by about 1% (if both attacker and target are level 20).
* The pet's base damage also increases with rank in the same way that mastering a weapon attribute does; see Damage calculation and pet damage for details.
* Finally, each rank decreases the amount of time the owner's skills are disabled when their animal companion dies.

<div style="margin-left: 2em;">

* Skills are only disabled in PvP-arenas where the owner can suffer Death Penalty and in all forms of PvE (except for non-Ranger primaries who have yet to choose a secondary profession, and for characters in pre-searing).
</div>
