The party must defend Yatendi Canyons from invading groups of Margonites.

Quest information
Objectives
* Speak with Whispers Adept.
* Protect the villages of the Yatendi Canyons from attack. You have [6...0] Margonite groups left to destroy.
* See Whispers Adept for your reward

Reward
* 4,000 Experience
* 400 Gold
* 15 Lightbringer Points

Walkthrough
This is quite a straight-forward defensive type quest, however to get to the initial trigger point, you will have to defeat several groups along the way (including 4 bosses: Corporal Suli, Hajok Earthguardian (Insect), Makdeh the Aggravating and Tain the Corrupter).

The deeper reaches of the fortress hold several Kournan and Margonite groups, but you can ignore those, you only need to defend the fortress gate from the units arriving from the north.

When you arrive at the quest point (the gate of the fortress), this is the trigger for 6 Margonite groups to advance and attack at the quest point, coming to you as three waves of two groups to kill. The first two groups are mostly Warlocks and Bowmasters, the next two waves are primarily Executioners and Reapers, and the final two waves are a mix of Bowmasters, Sorcerers, Executioners, and Reapers.

Elementalist ward spells that cover the gate, or Necromancer wells that buff the party (or debuff the enemies) can be very useful on this quest. Good use of aggro and body blocking may also enable use of area of effect spells to quickly wipe out the Margonites.

When the Margonites have been defeated, return to the Chantry of Secrets for your reward.

Dialogue
Initial dialogue
;Whispers Acolyte
:"[Difficulty: Master] <Player name>! The order of Whispers needs you once more. Our duty of protecting the land has become a nearly impossible task due to recent events. We need strong men and women to stand together against the threats facing our people. If you are the <profession> we think you are, you will talk to Whispers Adept."

Intermediate dialogue
;Whispers Adept
:"Alas, Margonites have released the titan Saevio Proelium from his tomb. The Titan has fled back to its lair in the Realm of Torment, but now the Margonites seek revenge for its long imprisonment! Most of the citizens here are miners or farmers. They can't defend themselves against these abominations. I have word the villages of the Yahtendi the area name is Yatendi Canyons Canyons are under attack! These peasants will be slaughtered if you don't get there right away!"

Reward dialogue
;Whispers Adept
:"Good work! While my order toils in the shadows and yours in the light, let the two ever be considered allies and comrades against the mystical threats that endanger Elona."

Notes
*There is a resurrection shrine near to the trigger point, with a Margonite hunt blessing, so this quest can be used to farm Lightbringer points.
*If using heroes and/or henchmen, it can be helpful to pin them to the middle of the gateway where the quest fights take place, to ensure they do not run far or overaggro.

Trivia
*"You're between a rock and a hard place" is a popular phrase meaning that there's not many good ways out of the situation.
