==Walkthrough==
To trigger the quest, first listen to a [[Lakeside County#Rurik and Osric|conversation]] between Prince Rurik and Captain Osric that takes place just west of the [[Ascalon City (pre-Searing)|Ascalon City]] portal, on the path toward the [[Althea's Actors Stage|Actors' Stage]]. When they finish, talk to Osric to accept the quest. You can collect all of the three ''beautiful'' items at any time.

All three items are located in Lakeside County:
* The [[Beautiful Feather]] can be found on a fenced-in hill in the center of [[Ashford]].
* The [[Beautiful Pearl]] is hidden inside a [[Beautiful Shell]] near the watermill.
* The [[Beautiful Pendant]] is in a [[Chest (Lakeside County)|chest]] in a mountain pass, northeast of the [[bandit]] camp above [[Ashford Abbey]].

There are two ways to complete the quest, neither of which alters the storyline:

* '''Collect all three items:''': Obtain all three items and return to Captain Osric. No matter the order you present them, he will fuss over and reject the first two before finally accepting the third, granting your reward. * If you are carrying more than one of the items, Lady Althea will take all of them when completing the quest.
* Having Charr at the Gate active means the Beautiful Feather, the chest holding the Beautiful Pendant, and the Beautiful Shell do not spawn. Otherwise, even without A Gift for Althea active, all 3 will spawn.
* Similarly, having Charr at the Gate active makes it impossible to initiate this quest, since Osric and Rurik will not initiate their conversation about Althea. You can begin the quest once you [[Zone#Zoning and rezoning|re-zone]] and talk to Osric.
