*Like most [[Reward trophy|reward trophies]], Ancient Artifacts can neither be sold to merchants nor be [[salvage]]d, but they can be [[trade]]d.
*The faster rate for converting these directly to [[gold]] is purchasing and selling [[superior salvage kit]]s, which will pay out 200{{gold}} per Ancient Artifact (1{{plat}} per kit, 1 kit per 5 Ancient Artifacts). Keeping and using the kits may be even more profitable, since each one saves you 4 expert salvage kits, at a cost of 1600{{gold}} total or, that is, 320{{gold}} each. In any case, it's in one's best interest to ''not'' sell them to other players for less than 200{{gold}} each, as doing so wouldn't be acquiring the full value of the item.
*Completing all the above quests, you can obtain a maximum of 16 Ancient Artifacts (there are two mutually exclusive quests).
