The only thing this tells me is that I'm pointing forward, kind of useless (the NSEW markers on the compass don't catch my eye). For this reason, I have to use both the mission map and compass together to navigate. It would be nice to have the option to fix the compass north and add a slim arrow indicating my current direction (not like that cumbersome mission map arrow).
