As it is now, PvP rarely can benefit your character. This makes it feel like a waste of time. The only form of PvP that can get you items is HA, and that is very hard for casual players to get in to. (you could argue that zaishen chests can give you items, but thats not too feasible.

I agree. PvP as it is doesn't offer anything that would keep a casual player interested. Also PvP is way too team oriented. World PvP will be implemented but I'd like to see 2v2 or 1v1 PvP as well. Some people want to play a free online game with a friend or two and having a team requirement of 8 (GvG, AB, HA) or 4 (TA) tends to be a turn off.
