An [[Emo]] is an unofficial term describing a set of [[bonder]] [[build]]s for [[Elementalist]] with a secondary [[Monk]] [[profession]] in [[PvE]].

Typically used in high-level [[PvE]] areas, Emo builds rely on [[Energy Storage]] skills, more specifically [[Ether Renewal]], in combination with quick, fast recharging spells such as [[Burning Speed]], to generate amounts of energy high enough to counter the cost of the [[maintained enchantment|maintain]] enchantments offered by the monk attributes, such as [[Protective Bond]]. They are often meant to protect a [[tank]], but can also tank themselves.

The name is a shorthand of the standard abbreviation for this profession combination, ''E/Mo'' and a pun on the [[w:Emo|Emo]] lifestyle.

==PvE Emo==

Burning Speed is mostly used as a fast casting, instant recharged expensive spell as to trigger ether renewal in quick succession.

== GvG==
An [[Emo]] in [[PvP]], more specifically in [[GvG]], usually describes E/Mo [[flag]]-runners. Using [[Air Magic|Air]] or [[Water Magic]] spells combined with [[Healing Prayers|Healing]] or [[Protection Prayers]] spells, these elementalists are able to run the flag, defend against splits or offer defensive support at the [[flag stand]]. In this case, Emo are rarely used to solo [[NPC]]s or other flaggers, but can backup teammates going after those [[target]]s.
