New page

disambig

Faction likely refers to:
* Balthazar faction, reward points awarded for PvP accomplishments.
* Imperial faction, reward points awarded for Alliance Battles and Competitive Missions.
* Kurzick faction, a measure of how much you have accomplished for the Kurzicks.
* Luxon faction, a measure of how much you have accomplished for the Luxons.

Factions almost always refers to
* Guild Wars Factions, the second campaign

Notes
* Faction could also refer to Affiliation, which is the faction to which an NPC belongs.
* Factions is occasionally used to describe the Kurzicks and Luxons together, e.g. the two factions aligned to defeat Shiro.
*Faction from playing from PvP is colored differently for each kind so as to differentiate it (Balthazar = Yellow, Kurzick = Blue, Luxon = Red, Imperial = Lavender)

Trivia
* Initially, the PvP reward system awarded faction (without any adjective); these were renamed as Balthazar faction to distinguish them from Kurzick/Luxon-specific points.

See also
* Faction rewards
* Faction farming
