In recognition of her many years of devoted service to [[Guild Wars]] and the Guild Wars community, players gathered for in a farewell party for [[ArenaNet]]'s community relations manager, [[Gaile Gray]].

The very special event started at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) on Friday, April 4, 2008 and ran all weekend, ending at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) on Monday, April 7, 2008. Starting on Saturday, April 5, [[The Frog]]'s personal friend, [[The Rabbit]], hosted a series of final extravaganzas so big they spanned the better part of three days.

Because they touched the lives of [[Tyria]]ns, [[Cantha]]ns, and [[Elona|Elonians]] alike, Gaile and The Frog were honored across the world in the cities of [[Lion's Arch]], [[Shing Jea Monastery]], and [[Kamadan]].

==Celebration events==
The Rabbit, The Frog, and many of their woodland friends gathered together to host the largest farewell party in Tyrian history. To prepare for the send-off festive items were collected so they could be brought to the party.

*Special, explosive rewards were dropped by defeated creatures.
*The creatures assembled for the event also brought a variety of special treats they traded for trophies from their homelands.

After all, what's a party without drinks, snacks, and fireworks?

==Bon Voyage, Gaile and The Frog!==

The Rabbit and The Frog on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were joined for a series of extravaganzas. Every three hours, this duo hosted a light-hearted party, complete with dancing, prizes, and a conga line too!

To help the celebration proceed in style, The Frog bestowed party attendees with an extra-special buff that granted bearers double points towards their [[Party Animal]] title track. To get the biggest bang for your buck, attendees saved up fireworks and used them at one of the extravaganzas during this weekend.

From at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) on Saturday and concluding at Noon Pacific on Monday, The Frog made his appearance every three hours in the three festival cities.

==Frog visits==
Every 3 hours, starting from noon (PDT) on Saturday to noon (PDT) on Monday, [[the Frog]] visited [[Lion's Arch]], [[Shing Jea Monastery]], and [[Kamadan, Jewel of Istan]] for a surprise party by [[the Rabbit]]. Both the Rabbit and the Frog gave players instructions, in the form of capitalized emote names, which must be followed to receive a set of [[firework]]s: 1 [[Champagne Popper]], 1 [[Bottle Rocket]], and 1 [[Sparkler]]. Eventually, the Frog would lead players on a [[W:Conga line|Conga]], a traditional staple of [[Gaile/Frog Talk|Gaile and Frog visits]] in the past, at which point players received the [[Party Time!]] effect, lasting until the end of the visit (roughly 11 minutes). If all emotes were performed correctly, including continuing to play a musical instrument or dance for a long period where no emotes are called out, it was possible to receive a total of 22 sets of fireworks, worth a total of 132 [[Party Animal]] points if used under the effects of Party Time!.

==Notes==
*One unscheduled visit occurred at 12:01 AM PDT on Saturday and one scheduled visit was missed at 3:01 AM PDT on Monday. Both are believed to be caused by the unusual start and end times of noon rather than midnight, and both problems were fixed before they affected other visits.
*A bug caused some players to see a white box when using Champagne Poppers, Bottle Rockets, and Sparklers. This was fixed after a short while.
*The visual effects of the [[Sparklers]], [[Bottle Rockets]], and [[Champagne Poppers]] were changed to have a more frog-like theme for the event.
*The event in Lion's Arch was up on the hillside near the bridge instead of the normal location for an event, by the fountain.
*The heavy use of fireworks by players during the [[Party Time]] buff was stated to have caused heavy strain on game servers and so is unlikely to be used again.
