Dialogue
;Quarrel Falls:
:"Greetings. I am Gareth Quickblade."

:"Is there something I can help you with?"

:"The White Mantle think they can send patrols into our forests and not pay the price? They'll soon learn the cost of crossing the Shining Blade! I'll have several scouts meet you in Silverwood. They'll lead you to this White Mantle patrol. Wipe out the patrol and bring me their armor when you are done. We should be able to salvage some useable steel from them."

;Shining Blade camp (before Salma is in Lion's Arch)
:"Many were lost in the jungle, but here we rally in support of Kryta and its rightful ruler."

;Shining Blade camp (after Salma is in Lion's Arch)
:"Now my expertise is best used here, where I can impart wisdom to our new recruits."

;During the Battle for Lion's Arch:
:"Today, we avenge our fallen allies and set Kryta free!"

;Lion's Arch (War in Kryta)
:"With the war over, there's no need for me to rush to train volunteers and farmhands to fight. From now on, I can take my time training the new queen's army. We won't be calling ourselves the Lionguard or the Shining Blade or even the White Mantle. The queen has decided to call our new unit "the Seraph." Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?"

Trivia
* His tombstone appears in Lake Doric in Guild Wars 2, with the dates 1043-1080 AE.
