And so did Kormir and her allies engage the dark god in titanic battle. And through her power, and their combined skill and bravery, and the blessings of the Five True Gods, did Abaddon at last face his ultimate defeat.

Yet the power of a god cannot be destroyed, and Kormir, making a choice that only a mortal could make, did take upon herself the mantle of the Goddess of Truth, with all its power and responsibility, all its dominion and duties.

And so by mortal hands did a new immortal enter creation.}}
[[Goddess of Truth|Kormir]] is the Goddess of Truth and Knowledge. Not much can be said about Kormir, as she only recently came into being. After the defeat of Abaddon, his power threatened to run out of control and bring darkness to the world regardless of the heroes' efforts. At this point, the leader of the [[Order of the Sunspears]], Spearmarshal Kormir, who had been given the gift to absorb this power by the avatars of the Five Gods in the [[Temple of the Six Gods|Temple of Abaddon]], stepped into the source of the power and was transformed into the Goddess of Secrets. One of her first acts as a God was to attempt to cleanse the Realm of Torment by defeating the [[Margonite]] warlord [[Mallyx the Unyielding]].

Statues of Kormir depict her as resting on the crown of Abaddon with one arm, whilst holding the [[Book of Secrets]] in the other. In 1078 <small>AE</small>, [[Hayda]] prays to Kormir, suggesting she is now the patron god of [[paragon]]s, which was previously the domain of [[Balthazar]].

* Kneeling at the statue of the Goddess of Truth in the [[Chantry of Secrets]] will cause a [[Seer of Truth]] to appear, who will grant access to the [[Domain of Anguish]]. Access to this area is only for players who have completed ''[[Guild Wars Nightfall|Nightfall]]''.
* Information in the [[gw.dat]] suggests that after Abaddon's defeat, the Realm of Torment is renamed to the Redeemed Realm. However this is never referenced in-game, and NPC's in ''[[Guild Wars 2]]'' refer to the Realm of Torment, suggesting that this is non-canon.{{clear}}
