Alpine Seed
Alpine Seeds are carried by the plant creatures in the Shiverpeak Mountains, and are hardy enough to take root and grow in that frigid climate. These seeds are prized by some collectors as a curiosity.
Acquisition
Drop and salvage research is ongoing, and can be found here.
Farming
Deldrimor Bowl
Hungry Devourer spawns Succulent Junipers that also drop Alpine Seeds in addition to the Succulent Juniper Meat quest items.
Frozen Forest
Start from either Iron Mines of Moladune or Copperhammer Mines. You will encounter four random Pinesoul bosses and several Azure Shadow group spawns of three. Click here to see the path.
Ice Caves of Sorrow
The very beginning of this mission contains around ten Pinesoul, along with a few groups of Ice Imps and Mursaat. Can be handled with a reduced group or solo to maximize drops. Groups of Ice Imps can be easily avoided if necessary. [1]

Notes
- This item is required by Imperial Chef Reun for his salad at the annual Canthan New Year festival.
- The collector Bariel Darkroot trades 5 Alpine Seeds for items that sell for 125 to a merchant. This provides a return that is over three times more than just selling the trophies by themselves.
