Gandara, the Moon Fortress

Gandara, the Moon Fortress, dominates the south coast of Kourna, surrounded by the Elon river. In this explorable area, characters cannot actually enter the fortress proper. Only the outskirts of the fortress are accessible. To enter the fortress, characters will need to start the Pogahn Passage mission.

Getting there

The only way to get here is via the Pogahn Passage outpost. The latter part of the primary quest No Me, No Kormir will point characters a short distance into this area.

Notes

• You cannot enter the main fortress from Gandara.
• Despite the presence of Kournan military, the Kournan Bounty is not available here.
• These quests affect the spawns in this area:
  • A Thorn in Varesh's Side
  • No Me, No Kormir
• Complete exploration of this area (including the fortress) contributes approximately 2.9% to the Elonian Cartographer title track.
  • You can map the full 2.9% during Pogahn Passage without dealing with any foes.
  • Slightly less than half can be mapped without entering the mission.
• Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 94 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 64 to 124 foes.
  • Around 50 additional foes will be present until you complete A Thorn in Varesh's Side (whether or not you have accepted the quest).
  • After vanquishing the area, you can take and complete Nerashi's quest without having to kill additional targets.

Bug.Occasionally foes will spawn behind the western fortress gate, beyond the reach of melee and projectile attacks.
