Notes

  • This skill creates a Spirit of Conflagration.
  • Mechanically, this skill is vastly different than how Winter works:
    • Winter will not allow you to trigger the requirement of Conjure Frost, as it changes the elemental damage received to cold, rather than change the damage output of an elemental weapon to cold.
    • Conflagration changes the damage type output to fire, like Kindle Arrows, which will allow you to trigger Conjure Flame with it on its own.
  • Because of this, this skill can be used to replace fiery bowstring, and synergizes with Conjure Flame and/or Mark of Rodgort fire damage requirements.
    • This allows you to use to use Zealous or Vampiric bowstrings along with a fire damage bow, which is an important benefit for buiilds focusing in multiple attack skills and Conjure Flame.
    • However, beware that the skill's damage type change will also stop physical damage triggers such as Winnowing, Mark of Pain or Barbs from working when the effect is active.
Anomaly Anomaly. This spirit also causes Bone Fiend attacks and spear attacks to strike with fire damage.
Anomaly Anomaly.Unlike Winter, this skill requires the attacker to be inside the spirit area of effect.

Trivia

  • This skill was conceived in the beta for Prophecies, named "Summer", but it was not released until the Factions campaign. See GameSpot preview of the Ranger.
