Game Update Notes Authorization

Hi, I couldn't find where else to submit feedback, so I hope here is okay. Can we get an easier way to see who posted the update notes? Obviously today's update caused a stir, and I don't think I should have to navigate to the below page and scroll right to the bottom to find that the author of the post is legitimate. They should be visible straight away on this page.

On mobile it is visible, but I am surprised to find that the desktop site does not show this info.

After some consideration, made some back-end changes to ensure that game updates can only be posted by authorized users. Can't guarantee that the most recent edit of an update doesn't change things*, but such vandalism usually gets reverted pretty fast.
(I mean, we could lock down such pages from being edited at all, but then editors couldn't do things like add relevant wiki links and such that are overall helpful.) - Tanetris (talk) 12:51, 3 April 2025 (UTC)

dark mode

How do I turn wiki on dark mode? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:MoonMenderW (talk).

The long story short is that GWW doesn't have a dark mode, and it would be nontrivial to implement here as it would require editing every infobox template on the wiki (which would likely cause some server issues while those changes propagate across thousands of pages). Depending on your browser, some have extensions which can force a clientside dark mode that may be worth trying. - Tanetris (talk) 17:19, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

File redirects don't work for me

All the profession icons, such as Necromancer-tango-icon-20.png, have a redirect to their respective profession article. However, they don't actually redirect but go to the regular file page. Article redirects, such as Prophecies, work for me. Is that just me (Firefox) or what's going on? File:User RolandOfGilead sig.png Roland of Gilead talk 14:48, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

I don't think those can work as redirects just as files, they'd need to be specifically posted as link images such as done for example on Template:Skill point. This would look like [[Image:Necromancer-tango-icon-20.png|Necromancer|link=Necromancer]] to show up as Necromancer. Jertzukka (talk) 23:47, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

wiki user page removal request

Can I please request my user page deletion, appears in google searches and have not been active since 2008 on guildwars. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Hobgoth clearing my digital footprint. Confirmation if required can be emailed to email address on file. if ends googlemail or hotmail.
